hi! I love this blog especially since I'm pint-sized as well! reppin' the wee folk hahaha. Anyways I was kind of wondering if this dress would be too tacky for prom? I'm kind of a bro but I'd like to feel like a fairy princess for one night (:
YOU GOT THIS, GIRL.
That’s one of our favorites, actually. We wore a similar one on day 5 of our 30 days of prom dresses project, that had a detachable skirt so you could rock both the fairy princess look as well as the bro’d out vibe if you throw a flannel over it for the after-party.
“They may talk of a comet, or a burning mountain, or some such bagatelle; but to me a modest woman, dressed out in all her finery, is the most tremendous object of the whole creation.”—Oliver Goldsmith
The last time Ashley Moeller shimmied into a satin dress and glittering high heels for the prom, her father issued a stern warning: be home by 11 p.m. sharp. He waited at the door, careful to smell her breath for even the slightest trace of alcohol.
So what is going to happen on this blog now that the 30 days are over?
Do you two already miss the everything prom wardrobe?
And I'm curious as to what you ladies plan on doing with your dresses.
We’re going to keep running this blog!
Prom may be over for us, but it isn’t over for everyone. We’ll continue to post submissions of amazing prom dresses, as well as tips & suggestions for prom looks, prom-do’s, prom playlists, and more. Basically, the fun will not end.
We DO miss the everything prom wardrobe. :( Luckily we could totally still rock a prom dress out in public if we wanted to. We have to send the dresses back to Tiza.com, but we will have a couple to wear for some surprise occasions, and, of course, those moments when we want to re-live prom.
Prom 2010—I’m on the far right. I had no prom date, and a sprained ankle (which is strategically hidden by my gown—which was only $50 btw!) and still had a blast. We’re so happy we’re glowing! (but it’s really just because it was foggy and drizzling.)
OMG love it! Who needs a date or a healthy ankle? Prom makes everything better.
